Happy Anniversary Adopt a Drain!
We’re celebrating the one-year anniversary of Adopt a Drain SF, and
it’s not too late to join the party! With over 1,750 drains claimed by
more than 1,100 community members in San Francisco, you can sign
up to “adopt” one or more of the City’s 25,000+ storm drains at
adoptadrain.sfwater.org, and pledge to keep them free of leaves
and debris in order to keep stormwater flowing smoothly and help
minimize the impacts of flooding.
You can even give your drain a name! Check out what names fellow
drain adopters gave their drains: Drainy McDrainFace, Go With the
Flow, My Mind Is in the Gutter, Pancake, and To Drain or Not to Drain.
Adopt a drain today at adoptadrain.sfwater.org and sign up for our
special events for drain adopters— you’ll be the talk of the
neighborhood with your stylish vest, gloves and drain clearing
supplies. Saving the environment is always fashionable.
