ABOUT PFA
The Pedorthic Footcare Association
(PFA), founded in 1958, is the not-for-
profit professional association which
represents the interests of the certified
and/or licensed pedorthist and
supports the pedorthic profession
at large.
Through PFA’s efforts, pedorthics –
the management and treatment of
conditions of the foot, ankle, and lower
extremities requiring fitting,
fabricating, and adjusting of pedorthic
devices – is a well-established allied
health profession which makes an
invaluable contribution to public
health.
MISSION
PFA’s mission is to enhance the
effectiveness and efficiency of
■ Hello Everyone! Since this is the last edition
before the Symposium, it seems like a good time
to update everyone on how the preparations are
going. I am happy to report that I have personally
been to the venue and it is fantastic! This will
be an exciting show with plenty to do when you
aren’t enjoying the marvelous presentations
we have in store for you. There is golf galore,
including the world class facility we are staying
at, with literally a half dozen top notch courses
within minutes. The Sawgrass staff can help you
set up tee times at several of them. We also get
discounted rates at both the Stadium and Dye’s
Valley courses on site. For those not inclined to
visit the links, the hotel shuttle bus will happily
take you to the local shopping district, which is
only a few minutes away. There are some fine
restaurants in the hotel. I enjoyed a great meal
and some libations at Alice & Pete’s Pub. They
even have a floating golf green you can try your
credentialed providers of lower
extremity pedorthic modalities through
education; increase the demand for
services through marketing; and
promote the right to practice through
government affairs activities.
