ger as the practitioner plays with poses. Balance
is improved overtime. And it's not only because
you gain strength in just your feet, but also your
mind.
The physical poses connect you to your body
and then eventually get you out of your head.
When you focus on your breathing and chal-
lenge your body, you won't give much attention
to all those pesky thoughts that may have aggra-
vated you earlier that day. That's the point. It's
important to take a moment to let things go, to
allow all the chatter in your mind to rest quietly,
in essence; to meditate. Regularly offering your
mind a rest will enhance your mindfulness in
life. Where you used to wobble, you will now
find stillness. Where you used to feel tight you
are now limber. Where you once felt frustration
in yourself, you now feel validated and complete.
You begin to react with calmness. You think
things through just a little more than you did
before. You are mindful of how you treat your-
self and others around you. You appreciate the
world just a little more.
