COMBATING THE INTERNET SHOPPER

The problem , we soon realized , was that we were no more exempt to the whims and fancies of the customer than any of our other sales staff . Aggravating enough to have someone hog up time getting fit only to send the shoes in with their spouse the next day to return them . Doubly as aggravating when we thought of the fact that an appointment from a doctor could have been booked in that time slot , or that we had put off doing something important in order to take care of a customer who had just walked in . There is a solution to every problem . We instituted a fitting fee if someone came in and specifically asked to be seen by one of us . If they worked with one of
