ABOUT PFA
The Pedorthic Footcare Association
(PFA), founded in 1958, is the not-for-
profit professional association which
represents the interests of the certified
and/or licensed pedorthist and
supports the pedorthic profession
at large.
Through PFA’s efforts, pedorthics –
the management and treatment of
conditions of the foot, ankle, and lower
extremities requiring fitting,
fabricating, and adjusting of pedorthic
devices – is a well-established allied
health profession which makes an

registration site is now open. I am happy to say the
registrations have been coming in very steadily as
this promises to be an excellent venue. I recently
visited Sawgrass Marriott venue in Ponte Vedra
Beach, Florida to be sure preparations are moving
along and to scout out the area. I can tell you
that there is something for everyone. Obviously,
the sports enthusiast, especially the golfer, will be
a kid in a candy store. The 2 golf courses on the
Sawgrass property are world class and there are
dozens of others in the immediate area. Here is a
view of the famous TPC Sawgrass clubhouse from
the 18th fairway (see: photo 1) health.
Jacksonville hosts great sports teams including
the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars who will be hosting
a home game against the Bengals on November
