In our Industry News, O&P Alliance presented an
open letter to the orthotic, prosthetic and pedorthic
community condemning sexual misconduct,
harassment and discrimination. PFA agrees with the
O&P Alliance that these behaviors are illegal and have
no place in our profession. We have reprinted the
letter in this issue for review.

In the second of a pair of research articles relating
foot to knee osteoarthritis, we find evidence that
supports the use of custom foot orthoses with a
lateral wedge over a lateral wedge alone. While this is
a very preliminary study, outcomes-based research,
such as this, is critical in proving the value of what we
do each day and provides a basis for making clinical
decisions about treatment. The work that was done
here provides a starting point for future exploration in
our field.
