Rivers and Sandy Turner sign on and Ellen Bintz has become our Vendor Liaison . Directors that have remained are Althea Powell-Chandler , Chris Stanley , who is starting a second term , and Dr . James McGuire continues as our Medical Advisor . This group of individuals works extremely hard to make PFA great . We are still operating as a self-managed association which means that this group performs the day to day functions of running the organization over and above normal Board activities all while working their regular jobs . To say that I am in awe and humbled daily at the willingness of this group to put this much time and work into PFA would be an understatement . They have hit the ground running with new and fresh ideas about how to operate the Association and I know they will push me to be a better leader .
I mentioned the Symposium at the beginning of this diatribe and I have fabulous news to report . " Very successful ! Fantastic ! Impressive !" These are some of the comments I heard following the PFA Symposium that occurred on November 4th through 6th in Atlanta Georgia . We were hoping for attendance to be around 250 individuals . We actually had 315 attendees ! Many of the 50 plus vendors who attended were so enthusiastic about the show that they have already signed up to exhibit at the 2017 Symposium at Sawgrass in Ponte Vedre Beach , Florida . 2017 is shaping up to be an exciting year and I am looking forward to serving all of you as well as I can . Pedorthics is poised to take huge steps forward on many fronts and PFA is positioned to take a leadership role on many of them . Stay tuned !
