theme_ P U C C I >> FASHION E M I L I O Driven By The Desire To Liberate Women Born in 1914 to one of Florence’s most illustrious families, Marquis Emilio Pucci di Barsento was a Renaissance man in every sense.. With the Italian economy in ruins after the war, Pucci took to teaching Italian and giving ski lessons in Zermatt. It was there that a streamlined ski outfit he had designed was photographed in 1947 and published in Harper’s Bazaar USA. Since then, Pucci began working closely with expert fabric manufacturers, setting up his first boutique in the island of Capri. In 1951, he began to show his collections to buyers and international press. His designs heralded the novel concept of designer ready-to-wear and this spread throughout the fashion industry. Today, the brand is well known for its bold prints in kaleidoscope colours, making it instantly recognisable with its “made in Italy” concept. Website // www.emiliopucci.com/my FB + IG // emiliopucci
