The Club was established on September 10 , 1894 . Its main purpose is to provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere to socialize and exchange ideas . The club has 3500 members that come from all areas of life including mechanics , warehouse workers , lawyers and doctors . The Club prides itself in being able to provide support , whether it be financial , manpower or facilities , for the area ’ s youth - school and community programs , senior citizen groups , charities and many of the area ’ s special projects , the most current being the ability to establish scholarships at two local high schools .
