On behalf of the Cumberland Valley Athletic Department, we are
pleased to welcome you to Chapman Field for another exciting
season of CV Eagles Football. All of our Fall Sports teams are
striving to represent Cumberland Valley in a positive manner.
Please come out to support all of our teams. We hope that this
game and all of our athletic events are played in the spirit of
good sportsmanship.
The tradition of Cumberland Valley Football excellence extends
over half a century and includes many alumni and supporters.
We would like to thank the Cumberland Valley Football Alumni
Association for all of their support to our program. It is the
support of the CV community, our alumni, and the student body
that provides the atmosphere that makes Chapman Field one of
the most exciting places in the Mid Penn Conference.
I would like to recognize the many people that play a part in
the success of our football games. We are very appreciative of
the support we receive from the School Board, administration,
faculty, and student body. I would also like to acknowledge all
of the participants who will be entertaining you this evening and
thank them for all of their hard work: Head Football Coach Mike
Whitehead and his coaching staff and team; Head Cheerleading
Coach Kristi Shaffner and her coaching staff and squad; Dance
Team Advisor Natalie Maximowicz and her squad; and Band
Director David Porter, his assistants, and the band for the
many hours that they have contributed in preparing for tonight’s
contest. I would also like to thank the following people who
help our athletic program to run smoothly: Mr. Darnell Stanford–
Assistant Athletic Director; Mrs. Lois Wolf – Athletic Secretary
(retired August 2017); Mrs. Colette Koontz – Athletic Secretary;
Mrs. Sheila Mueller and Ms. Ann Seaton – Athletic Trainers, Dr.
Brian Bixler – Team Physician, Mr. Jim Koontz, Vince DiRito,
and Dave Trutt – Facilities; and all of our custodial, security,
and maintenance staff. We want you to know that you are
appreciated.
I hope that you will have a very enjoyable and rewarding
experience with us.
