Mexico’s history runs deep with many great civilizations including the Mayas, the Olmecs, the
Toltecs and the Aztecs. Modern Mexico has a rich
cultural presence blending Native American traditions and Spanish colonial influences, but remnants of the past civilizations can still be seen
today in our Culture.

Diego Rivera is one of the most notable Mexican artists of
our time. He was born in 1886 in Guanajuato City. Rivera is
known most for his large-scale murals that took a critical
eye of contemporary life. While his art training took him all
around the world he always returned to his home in Mexico.
Much of Rivera’s work is surrounded by turmoil because of
his political agendas underlining the subject matter of the
images. Despite controversy Rivera was a prolific artist who
continued throughout his life to produce many art works
that dramatically influenced the future of art..

3 parts tequila
2 parts orange flavored liqueur
1 part fresh line juice
La Receta de Margarita
3 partes de tequila
2 partes de licor de naranja
1 parte jugo de lima fresco
Sal a gusto
Unos cubitos de hielo
Coarse kosher salt
Lime wedge
Ice cubes
Mix the first three ingredients in a shaker or pitcher,
blend. Run lime wedge
around rim of glass, dip in
salt. Pour mixture over ice,
or blend with ice for frozen
margaritas.
