“NOTHING GRABS THE ATTENTION MORE THAN A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN WITH BODY ART.” Tell me about your tattoos: Is there a meaning in all of them? Or perhaps one that has a unique, even off-the-wall story behind it? All of my tattoos have some sort of meaning behind them, yes. I know people expect you to have this mind-blowing reason for turning yourself into a walking canvas, but sometimes it’s simply that I loved a design or piece of art so much, and felt drawn to it somehow, that I wanted to make it part of me, so to speak. With each new piece, I feel more comfortable in my own skin, and somehow closer to becoming the woman I am meant to be. In terms of your everyday lifestyle, do your tattoos pose any hindrance... do you feel – as a woman with tattoos – stereotyped in certain ways? Sometimes, yes. I don’t know if it’s because people have become more open-minded when it comes to body art, or whether I have simply stopped noticing or caring about their opinions (or their occasional glares), but I do find it much easier nowadays to look the way I do. I’m lucky enough to currently work for a company that not only accepts me as I am, but also encourages me to do so. And I sincerely hope that the people I meet and come into contact with, will change their opinions about tattooed people, after realising that despite of my outwardly appearance, I am most certainly not some evil, psychopathic serial killer. Well, not yet anyway. ;)
