Powell, a native of Addison and a graduate of St. Bernard Preparatory School, own Dyron’s Low Country in Birmingham and has contracted with Cullman farmers faithfully to provide a high- er-quality dining experience. Trent Boyd’s Harvest Farm is working with the All Steak to ensure that existing and new dishes are complimented with fresh ingredients. “With this partnership we can have more com- posed dishes for the menu, things that go together well,” Powell says. “Some items will rotate with the seasons, but when you see squash and tomatoes coming in, then you can expect we will be taking advantage of that. We’re chopping up fresh ingredi- ents, which is true to the heart of cooking.” Powell sees the All Steak as not only a local in- stitution, but an opportunity to introduce diners to a more rewarding experience, relating to the farms As the names suggests, All Steak has a variety of the finest cuts of beef to serve. and the community. “Cullman is all about a sense of community,” Powell says. “I moved here 10 years ago. We were looking to raise our family in a great community setting, and because of the schools. And when we did nome changes in the menu, we wanted to make sure everyone has some options. We still want to appease the generations. We’re here for the com- munity and we want to make sure the All Steak has another long run of success.” With a short time, All Steak will be adding events that should be entertaining and educational for patrons. On the horizon is wine dinners with the creator or maker of the wine making a presentation and discussing the product. Powell said other events will include wine trainers who will discuss the variations in wines.
