Cullman Profile Raise the curtain By DAVID PALMER Wayne Cook brings lifelong love of theater to front stage 14 Cullman magazine | FALL 2018 T he early 1980s were a defining run of years for Wayne Cook. On the football field at Cullman High School, his brother, Jackson, was building a repu- tation as an outstanding player, culminating in an opportunity to star at the University of Alabama. His father, Dale, was the coach for the Bearcats. But Cook was on a different stage, just as ca- pable of entertaining and wowing an audience with the gifts of acting, singing and dancing. After graduating high school in 1985, and later from Samford University, Cook embarked on a number of successful adventures, from opening Finders Keepers and co-founding Believer Bands, a Christian-based series of wristbands that sold all over the country.
