For Sanford , that data on “ missed opportunities ” ( the prospective patients lost because staff didn ’ t answer the phone , mishandled a call or failed to set an appointment ) was like finding lost gold .
Looking back , Sanford says , “ It ’ s been a learning process . Once we started using CallSource , we started asking questions ... those questions led us to use tracking numbers everywhere we could think of ,” he laughs .
