Psychology
Psychology focuses on “ science with impact ” with students and faculty engaging together in a highly collaborative environment . The department is focused on advancing basic science to provide solutions to real-world issues from critical research on attention and driving safety to groundbreaking research on epigenetic effects that link maternal stress and infant health , to the use of computer-delivered therapies to prevent suicide among active personnel . Psychology has many engaged learning opportunities for students with special programs in research ( including an honors track ), advanced seminars , as well as active engagement in the community , and service and internship placements with industry and non-profit organizations .
