ARTS CAMPS
Classes meet Monday – Friday for five weeks
June 24, 2019 – July 26, 2019
(No classes July 4-5, 2019)
Students can enroll in morning classes, afternoon classes,
or both for a full day of arts engagement

3D Design (Ages 11-15)
In this fun-filled class, students will learn about creating sculptural art works. Students
will work in three-dimensional form while exploring a variety of mediums, such as
clay, wood, plastic, papier mâché, found objects, mixed media, and more. This class
will challenge students through problem solving and critical thinking while they gain a
deeper understanding of the three-dimensional world. The class will culminate with a
gallery-style exhibition of student work for friends and family to enjoy.
Time: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Acting (Ages 8-13)
Students will be introduced to acting fundamentals in a fun, collaborative, and
supportive environment in this five-week acting camp. They will practice monologues,
scene work, and improvisation techniques, as well as stretch their creative storytelling
muscles while collaborating on an original piece that will be performed for their family to
enjoy.
Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Animation (Ages 11-15)
Students will learn to animate digitally while exploring the fundamentals of animation,
including how to create the illusion of life and movement through a variety of techniques
and approaches while creating several short animated films. It is recommended to take
this course in conjunction with the Character Design for Animation course.
Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Ballroom (Ages 8-13)
Students will be introduced to the music and characteristic styling of the most popular
ballroom and Latin dances. They will learn the basic patterns and steps of many social
and competitive dances, such as cha cha, jive, swing, waltz, foxtrot, and salsa.
Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Please Note: The dance showcase for this class is scheduled outside of class time
on Friday, July 26 at 4:30 p.m. Participation in this culminating performance is strongly
encouraged, so please plan your schedule accordingly.
