ONE-WEEK ARTS INTENSIVES
VISUAL ARTS
Digital Illustration (Ages 11-15)
Students will learn the illustration and painting techniques of Adobe Photoshop. This
course will provide students with an introduction to digital painting for a future career in
illustration or animation. Coursework will cover color theory and basic design principles.
Students will use a Wacom drawing tablet to draw and paint characters, props, and
environments using Photoshop brushes and textures.

Metal Arts & 3D Creations (Ages 11-15)
In this one-week intensive, students will explore many metal arts processes that have
been used for thousands of years. Students will learn how to properly use the tools
and techniques for working with wire, metal sheets, and casting materials to create
original jewelry, as well as pocket and desktop sculptures. Join us for this fun and
unique visual arts experience.

Digital Photography (Ages 11-15)
In this one-week intensive photography course, students will learn the basic
functions of a digital camera and how to take clear, colorful, captivating photographs.
Students will work with professional Canon DSLR cameras and lenses and edit
their images using the industry standard computer software: Adobe Lightroom and
Photoshop. Students will also have an opportunity to create high-quality, large-
format prints of their work. This course will be foundational for any student with an
interest in photography or digital media.
