ONE-WEEK ARTS INTENSIVES Basic Sewing & Design (Ages 11-15) Students will learn basic sewing and design skills, as well as have a chance to practically apply their skills. Using commercial patterns, original designs, and embellishments, students will complete pajama/lounge pants, make a cross body book bag, and create an original costume piece from a repurposed garment. Requirements: Students will need to bring three (3) yards of 45” or two-and-a-half (2.5) yards of 60” plain or print fabric (cotton, cotton blend, or flannel) for their pajama/lounge pant project. Please NO cotton knit or stretch fabrics. All other supplies will be provided. Dates: Monday, July 15 – Friday, July 19 Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Cost: $575 Early Bird Cost: $525 THEATRE Acting for the Camera — Television (Ages 11-15) Students will learn television acting skills in this fun, one-week intensive. Under the guidance of television industry professionals, students will receive a unique, hands- on experience working in a professional, multi-camera studio and appearing in short television shows and news broadcasts. It is recommended that students take this class in conjunction with the Acting for the Camera – Film course. Dates: Monday, June 24 – Friday, June 28 Time: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Cost: $400 Early Bird Cost: $350 Acting for the Camera — Film (Ages 11-15) Students will learn film acting skills in this fun, one-week intensive. Under the guidance of seasoned film acting professionals and in collaboration with summer Film Production Skills students, these young actors will gain the training and confidence necessary for acting in front of the camera. Actors will star in original short films, which will be screened at the conclusion of the workshop. It is recommended that students take this class in conjunction with the Acting for the Camera – Television course.
