ONE-WEEK ARTS INTENSIVES
Piano Technique (Ages 8-13)
This one-week workshop is designed for late beginner and intermediate levels of piano
students. Students will experience a piano workshop in a challenging, supportive learning
environment, receiving instruction from the award-winning faculty of the Pianist Program
at Orange County School of the Arts. Students will have the opportunity to participate
in solo performances (audition based), theory lessons, sight reading, music movement,
keyboard skills, piano ensemble, and master classes taught by prominent guest artists. It is
recommended that students have at least one year of weekly private piano instruction.

Sing OC! (Ages 8-15)
This nine-day vocal intensive program is designed for young singers seeking music,
learning, and fun! Each day will begin and end with students learning choir songs from
different parts of the world. Students will also attend music classes with master teachers
to improve their solo singing technique, musicianship, movement, and more. To top it off,
the intensive will conclude with a concert featuring all of the student singers.

Please Note: This is a nine-day intensive class that will take place Monday – Friday,
July 8-12, and Monday – Thursday, July 15-18.
Jazz Instrumental Music (Ages 11-15)
Students will keep their jazz skills fine-tuned in this one-week program designed to
improve ensemble performance and improvisation ability. Daily activities will include
sight reading, jazz improvisation, exposure to numerous jazz styles, and jazz history.
This program is open to current and incoming OCSA students and all students in the
community. The workshop will conclude with a performance on Friday afternoon.
Students must provide their own instrument, unless otherwise specified.
