Musical Theatre (Ages 9-12)
This fun exploration class will engage students’ imaginations, teach teamwork through
collaboration, build confidence, and help young actors find their creative voice. Mirroring
the curriculum taught at OCSA, this class will provide a fun-yet-disciplined approach to
the process of developing fundamental skills through training in acting, voice, singing,
and movement. While this class will culminate in a short singing and acting showcase,
students’ primary focus will be learning the fundamentals of acting and performing as an
actor who sings.
Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Musical Theatre Audition Technique (Ages 11-15)
This musical theatre workshop will allow students to build a repertoire of audition
material and develop professional audition skills that can be widely applied. This class
will give young actors the edge they need for a more successful audition, as well as
provide a sneak peek at the business of casting theatrical productions.
Time: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Musical Theatre JR. (Ages 6-8)
Designed for beginning and intermediate musical theatre students, this class will build
fundamental skills in acting, singing, and dancing. This is a process-based class, where
students will have the opportunity to engage in the process of the musical theatre
format, from audition to performance. Students will learn theatre terms, musical theatre
skills, and how to participate in the rehearsal process, while having the rewarding and
fun experience of creating a show. The intensive will conclude with a performance,
based on the musical “Elf,” just in time for the holiday season!

OC Musique! (Ages 8-15)
Has your child been dreaming of singing in a music video? If so, we have the perfect
place for them to experience the recording process and develop great vocal skills! This
one-of-a-kind class will allow students to blend classical, choral, and studio singing
techniques while experiencing the recording process in a professional studio. Partnering
with the band “Karmina,” students will create a music video for YouTube. Solo
and ensemble audition opportunities will be available. This class will provide a fun
environment for students looking to integrate inventive music making into their social,
academic, and personal endeavors, while gaining real music industry skills.
