Splendor of Singapore to Sydney Be part of Carnival Splendor’s first sailing into Australia on its 15-night repositioning cruise. This fly/cruise/stay package adds one-way airfare from Australia to Singapore, two nights in a four-star hotel (including breakfast) and a city tour. The flight departs 22 November 2019, with the first day at leisure to explore Singapore’s shopping, dining and arts experiences, from ancient temples to modern skyscrapers, malls and restaurants. The second morning offers a guided drive around the Civic District, passing by the Padang, Cricket Club, Parliament House and the National Gallery of Singapore. On 25 November the cruise sets sail in the evening, spending the next two days at sea to enjoy Carnival Cruise Line’s third and largest ship to be based in Australia. The 3,900-passenger Carnival Splendor will be fresh from a significant upgrade, boasting a range of new dining venues and a waterpark with multiple waterslides. It will also feature the line’s adults-only Serenity deck, 20 bars and an expanded Red Frog Pub with resident band Music Manila. The first port of call is Benoa, in Bali, a popular destination to shop, swim, eat, drink and savour the Indonesian culture. The second stop is Komodo Island, the best place to see the famous dragons in the wild on an easy walk with a ranger. Following another two sea days, Splendor arrives in Darwin, its inaugural Australian port. The whole day is free to discover this casual city and its harbourfront Esplanade, old Wharf area, Cullen Bay Marina, Botanic Gardens, sailing club, casino or museum and art gallery. For three days, the ship traces the Queensland coast before docking at Airlie Beach, where passengers can venture out to the Whitsunday Islands or Great Barrier Reef on a day trip or just relax in this fun, backpacker-friendly town. Next stop is Moreton Island, a popular spot for fishing, whale watching and four-wheel driving, or diving and snorkelling at Tangalooma where a number of wrecks have been sunk off the shore. It is also well known for its dolphin feeding, sand dunes and beautiful white beaches. On 10 December, guests will be sure to rise early to witness Carnival Splendor’s early morning arrival into Sydney Harbour, its new year-round homeport. Priced from $2,759 per person twin share based on an inside cabin, the 17-night ‘Splendor of Singapore to Sydney’ package includes the cruise, flight, accommodation, city tour and a bonus US$100 onboard credit per twin cabin. Prices from other capitals, based on twin share per person, are $2959 from Brisbane or Perth, $3009 from Melbourne and $3169 from Adelaide.
