has worked closely with the shipyard
to ensure the vessel meets our
requirements for extended expeditions
in remote areas. We have drawn
on three decades of building and
operating our own ships to ensure we
get it right."
Following final touches, including the
installation of a collection of Australian
art and photographs, the Coral
Adventurer will begin her sold-out
maiden voyage from Singapore to
Darwin on 24 April.
Coral Expeditions has announced the
successful and on-time completion
of the first sea trials of its new world
expedition ship Coral Adventurer.
A team of 12 senior marine and
management staff from Coral
Expeditions’ Cairns headquarters
joined representatives from the
shipyard and various systems
manufacturers to put the vessel
through her paces amidst rough sea
conditions. True to her design intent,
she demonstrated impressive stability
and sea-keeping characteristics.
The Coral Adventurer will be the fourth

the proprietary dual ‘Xplorer’ tenders,
a trademark feature of all Coral
Expedition ships. Quickly deployed via
a complex hydraulic mechanism, the
Xplorers can whisk all 120 passengers
and the accompanying expedition
team off to a remote beach or a
village pier in open comfort. The high-
tech Coral Adventurer also carries
eight zodiacs and sufficient kayaks for
guest enjoyment, ensuring that quality
of expedition experience and time
ashore remain the company’s unique
selling point in the market.
Exclusive Concert
Guests on a luxury international cruise line were treated to what might just be the most iconic Aussie experience
imaginable, an exclusive concert with Daryl Braithwaite and his band in Darwin.
Azamara Club Cruises boutique 690-guest ship, Azamara Quest, offered the complimentary show exclusively to guests
when the ship spent overnight in Darwin on 12 March, as part of a 14-Night Australia and Indonesia Voyage. Hosted at the
Darwin Convention Centre, guests were greeted with a cocktail reception on arrival and a performance by Darwin local
sensation, Ali Arjibuk Mills. – renowned for her stunning Kriol rendition of “Waltzing Matilda”. Darryl Braithwaite and his band
then took to the stage with a string of chart-topping hits.
The concert is part of the line’s unique “AzAmazing Evenings” program – complimentary, exclusive evenings filled with
music, dance, and more in settings unique to each destination, included on cruises seven nights or longer. Other upcoming
international events include a “Concert at the Rock of Gibraltar” and “Ephesus: Back to Roman Times” – a private concert
at an archaeological wonder, the Odeon in Ephesus, Turkey.
Silversea Unveils Immersive Culinary Enrichment Program – S.A.L.T.
Silversea Cruises is introducing an
innovative new culinary enrichment
program —S.A.L.T., an acronym of
‘Sea and Land Taste’—which has
been crafted with immersive culinary
experiences in mind. Designed in
collaboration with Adam Sachs, a
multi award-winning Journalist and
former Editor-in-Chief at a leading
culinary magazine. Silversea’s Sea and
Land Taste project will enable guests
to travel deeper through a range of
culinary insights, once it is inaugurated
with the launch of Silver Moon in
August 2020.

based and shoreside enrichments,
including market trips, winery visits,
and dining experiences in regional
restaurants and bars; food and
wine tastings; special dinners with

experts; and numerous other exciting
enhancements. A dedicated S.A.L.T.
Lab will provide the perfect setting for
guests to explore culinary cultures from
around the world, while a new S.A.L.T.
restaurant will serve regional cuisine
