Joel's Picks

Favorite Princess:

Thumbelina, mostly because she is the outcast and most people don't think she is worth the time of day; when clearly, she is priceless!

Favorite Foods:

Sushi, and raw green beans with pepper and salt.

If you could have afternoon tea with any four royals, you would choose:

The Queen of England, King Arthur, The Pharoah (the one in the OT who made Joseph his assistant), and Prince William.

If you could star in any big-screen movie or exciting novel, you would choose:

An epic plot. Whether a classic adventure like Star Wars or the gory Hunger Games, I would like to play a role in which I could fight for liberty, justice, love, and then ultimately die for a worthy cause. There is not a more profound role than one who selflessly dies for what they believe in.

Fun fact:

When for KING & COUNTRY was beginning, their producer originally suggested names like The Deep, Joel and Luke, and Austoville. But only one name stuck.

"'For King and Country' was an old English battle cry. They would charge into battle for their king and their country. We thought it was very appropriate for what Luke and I are all about. Ultimately we want to live for our King, Jesus."

You are a Priceless Princess!

This issue of Crown of Beauty Magazine is all about Royalty. Whether we're playfully talking about our favorite Disney Characters like Cinderella, or admiring the characteristics of brave King Arthur, royalty is a very important subject.

Most women feel as if they aren't worth it, like they are anything but royal. Because of this, girls are uninformed of how beautiful and loved they truly are. So these uninformed girls start hanging around others who do not treat them with respect and honor. They are not treated like the true princess that they are.

You are priceless.

Don't ever settle for second best.

"Luke and I are both recent newlyweds. Luke was married three and a half years ago, and I was married around seven months ago. We grew up in a family with seven of us kids, and one of the greatest lessons that we learned was respect and honor. for KING & COUNTRY is all about respect and honor. We believe that respect and honor in relationships is what God intended. We are constantly talking to girls about their worth. They are priceless. Every opportunity that we get, we tell ladies, both young and old, that they are to be respected in relationships. Don't ever settle for second best." -Joel

Take it from a guy who knows. You girls are SO worth it and don't you dare let any boy tell you that you aren't.

"Society seems to suggest for women to talk, dress, act, think, and feel cheap. But we believe that God says that you are PRICELESS." -Joel
