"JESUS!" Her answer is simple, "Without Him, I would have no hope, no strength and no guidance. Without Him, there would be no motivation to accomplish anything. He is my purpose, my anchor, and my heart! His constant faithfulness keeps me going."

"So what are some of those goals?"

"Some of my goals for the future would be to marry a God-fearing man, have beautiful babies, do missions work in China and become an author. Just to name a few!"

"What is your favorite thing about being on the mission field?" I ask, "Do you have a favorite memory that you would like to share?"

"My favorite part about being on the mission field is getting to minister to people and bring them hope in The Lord. Ministry isn't always standing behind the pulpit. Ministry is people!

I love seeing their hearts restored.

When traveling through countries, London has been my favorite place as a stop-over and for holiday, but for ministry, I would have to say my favorite place is a tie between Africa and the Philippines. They both hold a special place in my heart!

One of my recent memories is of my trip to the Philippines in January 2014. Several of the youth, along with Melody and myself, hiked to the top of this huge mountain. It was a steep hike, with 100% humidity. The heat was unbearable, and I honestly didn't think I would make it! But once we got to the top, the view was absolutely gorgeous. It was quite liberating and worth the pain! Those times are always great memory makers."

"What advice do you have for girls who are thinking about going on a foreign mission trip?"

"First of all, really know in your Spirit that this is what God wants you to do. Be prayed up, and always be circumspect of your surroundings!

Being in a 3rd-world country is so different than what we are used to in the States, and you will most likely experience culture shock on many levels!

But also, be very prepared to fall in love and for the people of that country to capture your heart!"

When Kenya isn't busy serving in 3rd-world countries, she has a full time ministry to run back home in the States! Becoming Esther is a ministry for young women, giving them hope for the future, and encouraging them to prepare for the things God has for them.

I ask Kenya, "What do you feel like your current mission field is, in this season of your life?"

"In this season, the field that I feel God has called me to is to reach out to young women like myself. There are a lot of hurting hearts who are trying to navigate through the waters of relationships, which can be quite stormy at times. But I want to be able to give them the same hope that The Lord has given me in my own experiences, that He will perfect that which concerns them and will bring them into their destiny, as they put their trust in Him."

When Kenya is not going to work with her mom or handling ministry matters, a normal day on the homefront consists of her first and foremost, sleeping in....(They don't call her Sleeping Beauty for nothing!), drinking a big cup of coffee, and spending time with her precious Father and King.
