There are many things in life worth writing about and celebrating, but as a girl, WEDDINGS are at the very top of that list.

What could possibly be sweeter than the innocence of a pure white bride, floating down the aisle, preparing to remove the veil and gaze lovingly into the eyes of the man she will marry, vowing her unwavering faithfulness until death's bitter parting?! Gahhh! Somebody grab the Kleenex box!

Lisa Bevere wrote, "Women plan weddings, and men plan wars."

This statement is so true. While men are wired to strategically move forward and conquer the world, women were created to stop and smell the roses, gather an armful of flowers, then decorate the whole house with them! We as women add so much sparkle and beauty, and weddings are like our ultimate outlet for that fun feminine side! If you're anything like me, perhaps you have a Pinterest board full of fantasy wedding ideas, but you're still waiting for your first date! Maybe you've got a list of 150 things you're going to do with your future husband someday (don't judge...I love making lists!), but you're still standing on the staircase, waiting for your prince to arrive.

You're not crazy. Every girl dreams about finding true love.

And someday, your dream wedding will unfold. You'll say your vows, slice into your cake, and ride off into the sunset. But long after the decorations in the wedding hall fade away, and the fancy pageantry is all said and done...only one thing will remain from that sacred day.

Fluffy dresses, flowers, and bows are all temporary items that pale in comparison to the truth of what happens at a wedding. The eternal significance and emotional triumph we feel, when we see that true love triumphs all, is so much more than just our fluffy, girlish emotions enjoying themselves for a day of bliss.

“And now these three things remain, faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13

When we first discussed the idea for our next magazine to be

"The Love Story Issue," our conversation went something like this:

“What?! We're writing about love? But we're just a bunch of single, homeschooled girls!”

We laughed at how ironic that was, but realized how important it was for us to daily celebrate the beauty of weddings, purity, and lasting true love, when we begin to fathom the eternal purpose of it all.

Our hearts soared when we connected the words of 1 Corinthians 13:4-6 with the character of Christ. It's an amazing thing to realize that every beautiful love story, every wedding, and everything that is remotely altogether lovely, points to the flawless Person of Jesus Christ...that's more than enough reason to celebrate!
