So many Christians have fallen prey to the lie that “life is all about me,” and lead monotonous, boring, self-centred lives. If there is even an inch of complacency or questioning within your heart about why you're breathing, I want to challenge you with this article. Jesus paid much too high a price for us to be stuck in the rut of everyday life. Christianity without passion and freedom in Christ is just dead ole' religion. He died so that we might  live, and live life to the fullest! What this world needs is to see you fully alive in Christ.

Jesus said, "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside, but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean.” Matthew 23:27.

I don't want to have a dead heart like a stuffy, religious Pharisee. I want to be fully alive!

1. The Main Purpose of Your Life

2. It Doesn't End Here

Are you ready? It's simple, yet so excitingly exhilarating and profound! Matthew 22:37-38 says, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.”

You were created to fall in love with Christ, know Him on a deep and intimate level and have a real relationship with the God who breathed out the stars! That is mind blowing! You were designed for Him. The affections of your heart long to be awakened to this truth. You were tailor-made to experience this love, to walk with and pour out your love upon Him. As He reveals His love to you and pours it into your heart, it is your honor and highest calling in life to pour it back onto Him! Like Mary in John 12:3, you get to break open the perfume of your life and pour it onto His feet.

Jesus continues to explain the whole "changing of the world" part by adding, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” There are many ways in which this love can be expressed, but it's important to realize that in order to love the people around us, we have to learn to love ourselves in a Christ-honoring way. If we hate and devalue ourselves, how are we going to learn to love and cherish one another? The only way we can truly love ourselves for Christ's sake, is by seeing ourselves through His eyes. We must focus on the high price He paid on the cross. The price that Jesus paid, loudly exclaims your worth to Him and the amazing worth of the people around you. You are His beloved inheritance and the prize of His heart! (See Ephesians 1:18.)

We have to value and honor the people around us, celebrating the fact that they are made in the image of God! Everyone is precious in the eyes of the King. Learn to see your friends, family and even absolute strangers as unique gifts from God. Learn to appreciate their diversity, special strengths and gifts. “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Galatians 6:10

Let's treat our brothers and sisters with love, honoring them for who they truly are...kings and queens, sons and daughters of the King. How would you treat the Duchess of Cambridge, Princess Kate, if she came over to your house? You would honor her and treat her like royalty! Remember, “Whatever you do unto the least of my brothers, you do unto Me.” Matthew 25:40
