an amazing, world-changing woman. As long as you continue chasing your dreams, being kind to others, and determine never to give up, this time of waiting will fly by. One day, a man will come running along beside you and encourage you to keep on running toward your dreams. He won't stop you, he'll just join you. Don't Forget -

Chasing dreams is always more fulfilling than chasing boys.

Your gal friends may give you advice that sounds appealing. Teen magazines may tell you how to capture his heart; hook, line and sinker. But if they're telling you anything that sounds like this, it's best to close up your ears... "Send him a text message! Ask him out! Find out from his friends if he likes you! Ask him if he likes your outfit! Send him a love note! Write a song for him, post it on youtube, and dedicate it to him! Tell him that you like him!"

And the very worst of these ideas so far, "Send him a 'Do You Like Me? Check Yes or No?' note." That was my idea. We were in third grade. One of my friends liked a boy we knew, and I was pretty excited. Why? Because I was going to deliver the note. I liked to think of myself as the "elementary love expert,” or the Cupid who would shoot her enchanting arrows and then be invited to speak at their wedding. There is no surefire way to ruin a third-grade girl's life faster than sending a note like this. The young fellow sent a note back to us, and my friend was furious. Not with him, but with me! The note explained how the young man was choosing not to date and saving himself for his future wife. (For a third grader, this is pretty deep stuff.) In other words he was saying, "I plan on getting married someday. But when I find a girl that I like, I plan on doing the chasing. Not the other way around." That's how most guys feel. They'd rather set their sights on their Juliet, toss rocks at her window,
