Disney devo: Waiting with Rapunzel

It is every Christian girl’s worst enemy. Waiting. Waiting for a boyfriend. Waiting for a dream come true. Waiting to get married. Waiting on God for answers to prayers. We’re always waiting for something or someone.

In our seasons of waiting it can be very hard to stay faithful. Some days we can feel like Rapunzel locked up in our own personal tower, waiting for our lives to begin or for God to answer prayers. We get impatient waiting and we want to see results now. We want to know that God hears and acknowledges us. We have dreams, goals and can sometimes feel feel like they are being pushed to the side by God.

If Disney has taught me anything it has been to not give up on my dreams! Rapunzel was patient and waited and eventually Flynn Rider came along and helped her achieve her dream of seeing the floating lanterns (as well as discover new dreams along the way!) You don’t have to wait for a young man to come along and save you, that’s not what I’m saying.

What I’m saying is that God rewards the ones who are faithful in their seasons of waiting.
