I just want to say take a deep breath.

No seriously, take a deep breath. Right where you are. Come on. You’ll feel better I promise.

Done? Okay great. I know that’s just a simple solution to what may seem like a massive problem, but it’s necessary.

It forces us to stop. Pause. Take a break. So whenever you’re feeling stressed and overwhelmed, do that. Take a deep breath and just relax.

So how do we stop it? How do we stop the negative thoughts so that they don’t become something worse?

Next, I want to encourage you girls to pray.

No, prayer is not only for when you are having a hard time, but trust me, when your mind is running 100 miles a minute, and prayer is the last thing you want to do because you want “real” solutions, it’s what you need to do. Pray. When we’re consumed with negative thoughts, we have choices to make. We can either let those negative thoughts run freely in our minds or we can do something about them. Prayer helps take the anxiety, confusion, and anger from our minds and hearts, and places them in God’s hands.
