know was that these dreams couldn't be fullfilled in romance novels, or by listening to my favorite love songs. This dream craved something so much deeper.

Sister, we all have a ravenous hunger, something like an endless vacuum that cries out for God.

Our hunger is a beautiful thing. It's what prompts us to seek God, search out purpose, and find Someone who will satisfy this desire.

The only problem with having such a wild appitite, is the danger of filling ourselves with the wrong things.

I am twenty-years-old and have never been on a date. There are days when I doubt someone will come along and make these "Hollywood-Spun" dreams come true. What we fail to sometimes realize, is that these Hollywood-spun dreams are merely a shadow... a deceptive mirage of what we're truly seeking for. These Hollywood-spun dreams, all-at-once disolve into thin air, when we stand in the Glory of His Royal Majesty. When we stare into the eyes of our Heavenly King, any and all earthly men pale in comparison. When our hearts are lifted to the heights of Heaven, and we explore the courts of our King's heart, we encounter the vision of beauty and pure love, that we've always ached to find. It is in Him that we find our True Dream. Jesus is the epitome of everything our hearts could possibly long for.

"One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple." [Psalm 24:7]

Wrapped up inside the person of Jesus Christ, is everything, and I mean everything we could ever dream. He puts all Disney Princes, or funky-haired band members to shame.

There is no man, friendship, experience, earthly adventure or

pleasure that compares to Him.

Jesus is our every dream come true.

"Well that's depressing," you might say. "I've been seeking God

my whole life, and I know He is supposed to fill me up, I mean to

a certian degree, but I still have such deep desires that are

waiting to be fullfilled! Does this mean I can't daydream about

going to London, feeding the hungry, getting married,

or recording my own album?"

I'm not sure why, but for some reason, when we hear the truth that Jesus is everything we need, we begin to get scared. It causes a knee-jerk reaction, as we reach for all our little dreams that have been scattered on the floor like tinker-toys. We hold these visions close to our heart, and pray that God won't take them away from us. For some reason, we imagine that if Jesus is everything we need and desire...then our dreams will never come to pass.

This couldn't be further from the truth. In fact, the desires that are in you (not the Hollywood-spun ones), but the natural, purest form of who you are and what you long for as a person, has been designed by the King of Kings. Being totally fullfilled and satisfied in Him doesn't mean that all your dreams have to be thrown in the fire of sacrifice. Instead, God gave you these dreams so He could ENJOY THEM WITH YOU. He wants to be smack dab in the center of the day you say, "I do", fly to
