Alumni Spotlight Theresa Paschall, Crowley High School, Class of 1987 Theresa Paschall has spent the majority of her life in Crowley ISD. She attended CISD schools as a student, raised both of her children in Crowley schools and is now enjoying more than 20 years as a dedicated employee. When she was a fifth-grader in Mrs. Weaver’s class at Bess Race Elementary School, she would have never guessed the building would later become the district’s Central Administration Building and the classroom space would serve as her office as the CISD Coordinator of Counseling Services. rm Fa t R Cook Children’s How has education changed since you graduated? Paschall: “The technology and innovation that are now essential in education are such a great thing. I love that students who want to be in the medical field can receive highly skilled and specific knowledge while in high school. We have students producing and directing their own short films, writing their own books, learning about the law and law enforcement. Crowley ISD is leading the way and offers an array of opportunities to our students, opportunities that I could not have predicted 22 years ago.” Paschall with her family after a football game (left to right): her husband, Kip, her son, Gabriel, and daughter, Grace. 174 18 CROWLEY ISD CONNECTIONS | Winter 2017 35
