The Crowley ISD Heartbeat Team Award recognizes employees who display heart as they go above and beyond their job description , inspiring other employees through their extraordinary work ethic . Heartbeat Team Award winners are nominated only by other district employees . A winner is selected monthly throughout the school year .
On Shana Pink :
“ She likes to build relationships with her students . If I ’ m struggling with a class or if I need someone to talk to , she ’ s someone I can easily go to . She ’ s hard on me because she knows I have a very great amount of potential .”
Magic Johnson , Student H . F . Stevens Middle School
On Jodi Cloud :
“ I think it ’ s neat because it ’ s my first time to see her get an award . It ’ s kind of emotional because I ’ ve been with her my whole life . She ’ s an awesome teacher and she is my role model . ”
Jessica Vallejo Student intern and former student
On Yolanda Hill :
“ Every day she comes to work , and she is a ray of sunshine . She is always stepping in when a child needs that extra support , just needs a thumbs up , a hug . Even with the adults , when she walks by , everyone starts to smile because she has a positive outlook on every situation . We are just so fortunate to have her on this campus .”
Kimberly Sherfield , Principal J . A . Hargrave Elementary School
The monthly Heartbeat Team Award winner receives $ 50 cash courtesy of EECU , a free meal from Aladdin Cafe and is recognized at a Crowley ISD Board of Trustees meeting .
