About ISIDC
ISIDC was initiated in 2008, hosted by Dongseo University in Busan, Korea as Asia’s first international conference which focused its discussions on service and design. According to Dr. Kazuo Sugiyama, the main figure behind the initiative, the conference was intended as the meeting point of interdisciplinary efforts to promote the importance of service and the importance of design in service. During the conference, Dr. Sugiyama explained about the initial drive to initiate the conference.
