Obviously, Cricket Club Magazine covered England’s success last issue so now we will take a look at how some of the other teams fared in this Summers tournament. New Zealand New Zealand really could not have come any closer than they did to winning the tournament. Few people predicted them to reach the final but having reached back-to- back World Cup Finals there can be little doubt now as to how good a side they really are when the pressure is on. Although that may not provide much consolation right 10 Issue 51 now, the team should be proud of their efforts at this World Cup. India India played some terrific cricket at this World Cup and demonstrated what a strong side they are. For them it was just a case of producing a bad performance at the wrong time having topped the table in the group stage. Whether that was a case of the team finding it harder when the pressure of knockout cricket came on or just a bit of bad luck is a question the team will have to answer themselves. Australia Boosted by the return of Steve Smith to the side, the defending champions quickly established themselves as contenders for the
