Are you ready for a unique and talented take on a wide range of musical traditions ? Claude Bourbon is known throughout Europe and America for amazing guitar performances that take blues , Spanish , Middle Eastern , and Russian styling ’ s into uncharted territories .
Born in France and raised in Switzerland , the finger picking guitarist has performed and studied all over the world . He has played countless venues , including Glastonbury Festival and the Isle of Wight Festival , and has shared the stage with countless musicians including Calvin Russel , Charlie Morgan and Herbie Armstrong .

Stella Sings Ella – 100 Years of Ella Fitzgerald
Join us for an evening celebrating the life and music of the great Ella Fitzgerald , as we welcome back to The Crescent , Stella Bass and Hugh Buckley .
2017 is the centenary of the birth of the great Ella Fitzgerald , who is widely considered to be one of the greatest and most innovative singers of all time , and indeed an American icon . With a career spanning 60 years and selling over 40 million albums , her life and music is celebrated by jazz singer Stella Bass and renowned Irish guitarist Hugh Buckley .
The evening will feature many of Ella ’ s signature tunes and this concert sold out in the Crescent Arts Centre last January as well as Dublin ’ s National Concert Hall in July , so it ’ s a night not to be missed !

Ninebarrow
This November we are delighted to welcome multi-award winning folk duo , Ninebarrow .
Impressing audiences across the country with their innovative and captivating take on the folk tradition , the duo were nominated in the 2017 BBC Radio 2 Folk Award ‘ Horizon ’ category for Best Emerging Artis . The duo is made up of Jon Whitley and Jay LaBouchardiere who combine breath taking vocal harmonies and melodies and deliver original songs that are inspired and rooted in the landscape and history of the British Isles . They also take a wide-range of traditional folk songs and rework them in their own , distinctive way .
Be sure to join us for a great music with history , folklore and storytelling .

Cettina Musumarra
We are delighted to welcome to the Crescent , Italian born pianist Cettina Musumarra .
She started to learn the piano at the age of six , and at nine she entered the Conservatoire “ V . Bellini ”, Catania where she obtained her diploma , passing with top marks and summa cum laude , under the guidance of M ° Daniele Petralia .
Drawing attention by winning several piano competitions , she studied with important teachers such as M . Marvulli and A . Delle Vigne and she attended the piano academy of Marche , where she was awarded the Academic Concert Diploma . She has performed in several piano concertos and recitals in prestigious halls including Steinway Hall and Wiener Saal .

Sing for Life Christmas Concert
Join the Sing For Life Community Choir for their annual Christmas concert ! Hosted by the Choir ’ s patron Noel Thompson , come along and get in the festive mood with classic carols and popular songs to mark the holiday season .
We are delighted to have a number of very special guests performing with us again this year … but we are keeping that as a surprise !
The Sing For Life Choir was formed in partnership by the Crescent Arts Centre and Cancer Focus NI in September 2012 , so that anyone affected by cancer could come along and enjoy singing and meeting new people . This almost 100 strong choir will certainly get you in the mood for Christmas ! Please book early to avoid missing out !
