This workshop is a great follow on to
the basic techniques covered in the Gift
Wrapping Workshop. In this session,
you will make gift pouches for small
items and learn how to deal with
awkward shaped gifts. You will explore
and make finishing touches in a wide
variety of styles. Scissors, tape and a
selection of paper and ribbon will be
provided. Participants will need to
bring items to wrap and may bring
additional paper of their choice. Tutor
will advise further before the
workshop. If you are interested in Japan and its
culture come along to this workshop
and learn to write in Japanese. The
workshop is a short trial of Japanese
ancient calligraphy style and an
introduction to Japanese lifestyle and
traditions. By the end of the workshop
you shall have a small calligraphy piece
to frame for your wall! Learn about the basics of shooting in
low light and long exposures in this
evening photography session. You will
start by looking at some of the basics
of composition and framing, camera
settings and exposure and shooting
with limited available light then head
out to practise nearby. It may be cold
so dress accordingly and the cold
affects camera batteries so make sure
they are fully charged before the class.
Don’t miss your chance to create some
beautiful night time images and learn
the skills to start shooting long
exposure photography. You will need a
camera capable of shooting in fully
manual mode and a tripod.
