Workshop
Artists’ books are often created to
make art that is interactive, portable,
movable and easily shared whilst
challenge the conventional book
format and become sculptural objects
in themselves. This workshop exploits
the methods behind bookbinding and
encourages an experimental approach
to scrolls, unfolding pages, unusual
stitches and sculptural formats.
Participants will explore a variety of
binds using professional tools and a
range of beautiful coloured papers,
creating 6-10 multi-purpose pieces to
take home.

This one day intensive workshop is
aimed at those who want to improve
their digital photography skills. You will
learn creative tips and techniques,
practical learning and references for
further learning after the class. Perfect
for anyone with a digital camera who
wants to get the best out of it, we’ll
cover the basics of composition and
framing, understanding the modes and
menus on your camera and look at
photographing people and places as
well as tips on storing and sharing your
photographs. Students must bring
their own Digital Camera.

Using traditional methods and
equipment, which can be very easily
made at home, this workshop will
guide you through the simple
processes involved in making beautiful
papers which you will be justifiably
proud of. You will make paper from
rags, recycled pulp, and flour sacks. You
will embellish your paper with seeds
and herbs and even onion skins. You
will make paper from old denim jeans.
You will learn how to emboss and
colour your paper, which you will be
able to take home with you.
A Terrarium is a miniature garden for
indoors. In this workshop you will learn
how to layer your container to provide
your succulent plant with optimum
care. These gardens are great for
people who forget to water their
plants! All materials are provided.

Learn how to paint in Japanese Ukiyo-e
style and create a masterpiece of your
own. The traditional style of painting
Floating World, is easy and doesn’t
require any particular skills from you.
You can choose from many designs or
bring your own to follow. This is a
perfect workshop for beginners or
those who already paint.
