English Paper Piecing is a type of
patchwork which uses paper
templates. The fabric pieces are then
stitched by hand. This is a relaxing way
to do patchwork and is easily
transported. Over the 6 weeks you will
make a cushion cov er. All materials are
provided. Using your basic sewing skills, learn
how to increase your sewing
knowledge and perfect and create
more advanced projects. Please bring
your own domestic sewing machine. Tapping into

art-making and mindfulness. It is
designed to give you space to play and
experiment by using materials to
express and be creative with. During
the course you will explore a variety of
process-based abstract art techniques
and develop a self-awareness
approach to making art which is
designed to help you tap into your
creative nature.

wants to learn more about digital
photography, and will include tips and
techniques to help you frame up great
photographs and get the most out of
your camera. You will learn how to get
great photos of people and places,
looking creatively at your subjects and
get an understanding of using light as
well as learn the modes and settings
on your camera. With a range of great
places nearby for photos, you will get
you out and about learning in a
practical setting as well as learning
about photography as a whole.
Students must bring a digital camera
to class.
