Csenge Hortobagyi Federica Ferrieri Rosie Pelan Actors’ Studio Elementary Hungarian Mixed-ability Ancient Greek If you want to learn some of the theories and practices of acting, this course is for you. You will learn how to apply Stanislavski, Meisner and Mamet to the study of play-texts and you will use various acting exercises in improvisation in order to develop your craft. During the term you will also work on vocal technique, as well as study a chosen script, learning script analysis and scene study skills along the way. Rosie has taught Stanislavski on the QUB Drama degree. Goulash, Rubik cube, biro, Zsazsa Gabor. Do you want to know more than these well-known Hungarian words? Want to be able to hold a conversation? Are you planning a visit to Hungary? Do you have distant Hungarian relatives or friends? In this elementary class we’ll cover the basics of pronunciation and learn structures in a fun and engaging ways! Learning Ancient Greek is not restricted to the privileged few. Enrol in this class if you’re fascinated by the language of comedy and tragedy, or maybe that of law and medicine (or even that of philosophy and religion); if you’re curious about an alphabet which is 2,700 years old (and not so difficult to learn!); if you want to train your mind, to become more aware of your own language, to better understand European history and culture, or just to impress your friends. This is a mixed- ability class, so beginners, false beginners and lower intermediate students are all welcome. Your course facilitator has lived for many years in the Donegal Gaeltacht and has a wealth of award-winning experience making learning fun. Be prepared for an all-engaging, whole body, mindful and, probably, life- enhancing journey into the shared Gaelic language culture. The course will cover everyday situational Irish, fundamental pronunciation and linguistic basics. This is the ideal course for students with a fair knowledge of Italian who wish to practice it more and learn further grammatical structures.
