Actors’ Studio Elementary
Hungarian Mixed-ability
Ancient Greek
If you want to learn some of the
theories and practices of acting, this
course is for you. You will learn how to
apply Stanislavski, Meisner and Mamet
to the study of play-texts and you will
use various acting exercises in
improvisation in order to develop your
craft. During the term you will also
work on vocal technique, as well as
study a chosen script, learning script
analysis and scene study skills along
the way. Rosie has taught Stanislavski
on the QUB Drama degree. Goulash, Rubik cube, biro, Zsazsa
Gabor. Do you want to know more than
these well-known Hungarian words?
Want to be able to hold a
conversation? Are you planning a visit
to Hungary? Do you have distant
Hungarian relatives or friends? In this
elementary class we’ll cover the basics
of pronunciation and learn structures in
a fun and engaging ways! Learning Ancient Greek is not restricted
to the privileged few. Enrol in this class
if you’re fascinated by the language of
comedy and tragedy, or maybe that of
law and medicine (or even that of
philosophy and religion); if you’re
curious about an alphabet which is
2,700 years old (and not so difficult to
learn!); if you want to train your mind,
to become more aware of your own
language, to better understand
European history and culture, or just to
impress your friends. This is a mixed-
ability class, so beginners, false
beginners and lower intermediate
students are all welcome.
