Clubbin with Sienna and Syd

By Sienna Eshleman and Sydney Eckert

There is a variety of different clubs at Silver Creek High, many of which are hosted without any notice of most of the student body. The list of these groups provides a welcome environment for any interest, hobby, or addiction. Our mission as ¨Clubbing with Sienna and Syd¨ is to bring these clubs to light for everyone to enjoy. There is a story behind every club, filled with passionate members who love what they are involved in and what they are contributing to the school.

Peace and Service for Africa

Students at Silver Creek are making a difference and connecting to people all the way across the ocean. Peace and Service for Africa is currently in the process of their annual Change for Change coin drive for the month of February, in order to fund an orphan in Kenya. Living in the Amani Home for orphans, Faith is a total orphan, meaning there is nobody else left in her entire family tree, with hopes of a bright future. PSA continuously holds fundraisers to grant Faith the chance to fulfill her aspirations. The clubs main goals include raising awareness of the living situations in Kenya to expand the perspectives of those who are more fortunate, and to help individuals gain an education. Mrs. Grandsaert holds this club A lunch Tuesdays in room D205. We sat down with her to get to know her and the club better.

When asked about favorite or special memories from the club, Mrs. G couldn’t pick just one.
