have their eye on the prize. This year we have twelve guys and one girl on the team.
Even though that sounds like a little team they have big hearts
and strong bodies to crush the other teams. Last year the team
had five guys go to state, one of them placing fourth in the
finals. ¨We are hoping to get a lot more guys into state and a
lot more guys placing in the finals,”Jacob WIlliams said. These
boys work very hard to prove they are worthy of state. They
practice every day and give one hundred and ten percent
during every meet and tournaments. Go out and support your
Silver Creek Raptors this season, because this year is their year
to shine.

Before their first game, Coach Banning said he felt

challenges. “We do have some of the football players that
are going to be on the team. The football players attended
only two practices, so I feel like we are semi-ready,” said
Coach Banning.

basketball season began with an
impressive 73-31 win over Standley Lake on November
30th. The boys followed up with another 60-54 win against
Evergreen on December 2nd.
Sophomore Charlie Belcher sounded enthusiastic. “The
team is in good shape, and we have some really good
seniors to lead us through our first game.” Their goal is to
make it to not only to conference but to state as well.
Coach Banning is supportive: “The boys are great
teammates who always put others before themselves. The
