5 Best Lakes in Colorado:

Hanging Lake: One of the most iconic lakes in Colorado, located in Glenwood Springs over the edge of Glenwood Canyon. Its best known for its clear blue lake water and the beautiful waterfall that pours into the lake. Swimming is prohibited to keep the water the beautiful turquoise color it is.

Paradise Cove: Located in Lakewood, Colorado. Best known as a “swimming hole”, a lot of people who visit here do swim. Its hidden back behind Cripple Creek. The cove is small, yet very deep, it is also fed by a small waterfall. There are 3 different ledges at different heights, depending on how big of a daredevil you are to cliff jump

Maroon Lake: Located in Aspen, Colorado. The maroon bell peaks are behind the lake, with fields of wildflowers creating the perfect picture perfect moment. The peaks are usually snow capped and rise about 14,000 feet. It has many smaller lakes surrounding it and little streams that all come to the grand maroon lake.
