Girls Soccer

Another outdoor sport to look forward to this spring is girls soccer. In an interview with Silver Creek’s girls soccer captain and defender for the team, Teresa McGlothlin, she said “This season I hope we win conference, last year was the first year since I have been at Silver Creek that we did not win conference.” When asked: what is the main focus of preseason this year, McGlothlin said: “Our main focus is getting in shape so we can ideally last a full 90 minutes for a game. Also, we are trying to build up our strength so we don’t get hurt and we have the ability to be stronger and faster than other teams.” This is important to focus on because soccer is a very physical contact sport and to reach the goal of winning conference, it’s imperative to have an strong and agile team.

Hopefully, you can come out to support the girls soccer team this season! The first home game is against Skyline on March 8th at 4:00pm!
