Athlete Spotlight: We talked with Sophomore Emily Reitz about how her season was going with the Girls Soccer team. The first question I asked was how is your season individually going so far. She said, ¨I have started every game and scored a couple goals so it has been going good¨ The next thing I asked was how she managed school, sports, and her social life, she said ¨the key is just having good time management.¨ The last question I asked was, how the team looked this year. Her response ¨We look really solid and are hoping to win another conference championship¨

Track and Field:

The Raptors track and field boys team is currently ranked in the state! The team completed their first meet at CSU Pueblo and did not place. Looking to bounce back, the team placed 5th at the Windsor Invitational. They then placed 13th at the Broomfield Shootout. They then placed 7th at he the Altitude running invitational. The Raptors are led by Junior Rylee Anderson, who has broken multiple meet records and is #2 in the nation for girls high jump. On The boys team they is lead by Senior Brock Knechtel who throws discus and shot-put, and Junior Brock Dykema who runs long distance. They are both looking forward to going back to state. Good luck to both the Girls and Boys track team as they prepare for conference and state.
