Swimming/Dive:

Over the weekend the boys swimming team took the championship at the 4A Coaches invite. This was a great start to the season for the boys as the coaches hope this will motivate the boys to make a run at the State and Conference meets. The Team was lead by Andrew Wu who is a sophomore at Niwot High School swimming the 100m for the Raptors.

Athlete Spotlight: Out of only 3 divers in the program, Ashton Hubert, a Junior at Silver Creek, is quietly making a name for himself. When asked if he’ enjoying his time on the swim and dive he said, “Yeah, it’s really fun!” Ashton’s role model in athletics is Kyrie Irving. He thinks Kyrie is “original” a trait Hubert seems to have. Hubert is a three sport athlete, competing in Football, Basketball, and Swim and Dive. He says he’s able to maintain a social and academic life along with his busy schedule. “I have a lot of friends that play the sports I play, and I’m usually free on the weekends to hang out with friends. I do homework whenever I can so usually after practice.” We look forward to hearing more good things from Ashton.
