"In planning this shoot I wanted to combine my affection for 17th century Dutch artists, particularly
Johannes Vermeer, with modern posing. I also saw the images as having a“painted”
texture and feel. The influence of Vermeer is probably best seen in the images with the wide
brimmed hat which he used in many of his male portraits."
