Professional Development The Key for Dawn Dutton

Walking into the studio and seeing the colour-coordinated wardrobe along with perfectly placed baskets and materials , you would not have guessed Dawn Dutton had come from a humble life in Zimbabwe .
Moving to New Zealand in 1999 , Dawn worked as a trained Paramedic .
However , after going through the trialling times of having her beautiful twins premature , Dawn felt it was time to move on from her career .
Dawn Dutton Photography was started .
Working hard to make her businesses a success , Dawn proudly states she is the only photographer in Whangarei with the distinction as a Master of Photography . Dawn also has a Diploma in Freelance Photography and is accredited by the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography . She has also won over 20 awards at the Iris Awards Competitiion .
“ I use my work to show what I can do and why I ’ m worth it .”
Dawn is not your average photographer . A fun-loving , hardworking mum of 3 who strives to achieve , her personal goal is to get a new professional achievement every year . She has had great success in doing so .
Staying fully authentic , there is no Photoshop for this mum . Designing every scene herself , she creates a happy and stress-free experience for all to remember . Dawns face lights up with excitement just talking about her work .
“ I just love the look on their faces when I give people their images , then they hang their photos on the walls ,” she says “ Photos need to be on the walls !”
Dawn has also had training in Baby Safe procedures and makes sure to use these skills when dealing with your precious new-born ’ s . “ I like to keep my babies safe !”
She is also attending the The Baby Summit in Australia . Which will include workshops and 20 international guest speakers . She is looking forward to expanding her skills and knowledge .
Ranging from family portraits to weddings , new-borns , cake smashes and even glitter sessions , where the kids get into little dresses and crowns , have their hair and nails done and throw glitter , Dawn is passionate about it all .
“ We need to have memories to share , not just for us but for our kids once we are gone .”
