Junkies Antiques and Collectables
shop last month.
Lisa Heenan from Cheers Party
Hire says she was tired of
seeing industry professionals
use Auckland services when
Northland has its own set of
talented providers.
“We only ever get your
standard ‘pretty’ wedding
shoots, styled and shot up
here,” she says. “Why should
the quirky shoots be limited
to the larger cities?”
After 11 years as an event
specialist within her business,
Lisa was ready for a challenge.
“We’re yet to find a venue that
we can’t make look great,” she
says. “I have an amazing team
of business owners who work
alongside me to make every
customer’s event special.”
Those same business owners
jumped at the opportunity to
be a part of Lisa’s ‘challenge’
when she told them her ideas
earlier this year.
A
group of Whangarei businesses have come
together to showcase what Whangarei
has to offer in terms of creativity.
“This was our chance to
showcase
what
Northland
businesses have to offer,” says
Lisa.
And the results speak for
themselves, they say a picture
can tell a thousand words
.
