Sin An interview with two talented writers Floating Island ~Sin~: A Interview with its Creators RC: “I’m plenty surprised indeed. I never really expected to have this story to be co-written this way and up to the current point where we’re at now. To be honest, I was expecting this to die out after about a month or two into it but t.en always kept me on edge with her beautiful writing and wacky comments. It’s not everyday we roleplayers can find ourselves a good writing partner.” t.en: Hmm, I didn’t have much in the way of expectations so ‘surprised at how well it worked out’ may not be a good description. But I have been pleasantly surprised at how long we’ve kept the story running though, given the tendency for roleplays to die within a few months, and by what we’ve been able to accomplish. ~Sin~ has been the most amazing roleplay I've had the pleasure of writing for. 3. The fight scene won a medal, did you go into writing it with that goal in mind or were you shocked to receive the nomination? RC: “Honestly, we went into writing that fight scene with the goal of setting up an epic boss fight to please ourselves, really! So yeah, it is shocking to receive a nomination for the best fight medal, but it’s much more shocking to receive the nomination from somebody else.” t.en: I never go into writing expecting to win a medal or even for anyone to be reading it besides me, RC, and what few friends I can coax into reading it, so I suppose the latter would be more appropriate. This is a bit of a soapbox moment (haha, sorry!), but I think it’s most important to just write for yourself. At the end of the day, only you can say ‘hey, those X hours/days/ Source years I spent on roleplaying was worth my time and effort.’ As long as I'm happy with my writing, that’s all that matters--at least that’s the attitude I take towards my writing. 4. Is this your favorite writing pairing thus far in your writing career? RC: “I won’t lie, yes it is straight up my favorite for me. I didn’t really expect to get a partner who would let me write as much to my heart’s content and not complain about having to read a ginormous amount of text, let alone come up with a counter-ginormous post.” source
